Course Description

  • ​The MSc Creative Writing course is focused on practicing in either fiction or poetry
  • Students will develop their creative skills through workshops, presenting their work for peer discussion, and hearing from guest writers and other professionals on the practicalities of life as a writer
  • After completing this course students will be able to identify, conceptualize and define formal elements of craft in their chosen field within published works and within works by their peers
  • The final element of this course is a dissertation, which is a piece of creative writing written with the advice and support of a designated supervisor
  • Students can pursue careers in a wide variety of fields, that includes publishing, marketing, arts administration, web and audiobook editing, script and ghostwriting, and gaming narrative design.
