Course Description

• Improve students knowledge of global markets and economic theory, and sharpen their decision making skills – an Economics degree at Nottingham Business School is students gateway to a career in financial services, and a wide range of other opportunities

• Students will study the key concepts of modern economics, learning how these principles are applied by individuals, businesses and governments

• In this course, students will work with professionals and industry experts and test their knowledge in a range of real-world business environments

• As an Economics student students will have access to Nottingham’s unique Business Lab facility. With 12 double-screen workstations, the room gives students a simulated experience of working in the fast-moving world of shares and trading. They can access sophisticated analysis tools and data on worldwide financial markets

• Nottingham Business School enrols its economics students with The Society of Professional Economists (SPE). SPE is the leading organisation serving professional economists in the UK and has more than 600 members, drawn from all areas of the profession including finance and commerce, industry, government departments, private sector consultants, business schools and universities
