Course Description

  • ​Students will learn the engineering principles necessary to design, manufacture and test machines, biomechanical implants, energy-efficient systems, thermofluid systems and consumer products
  • With an optional paid co-operative internship, an optional specialization in Management Sciences and hands-on training in state-of-the-art labs, students will gain the knowledge and experience they need to help create technologies that improve well-being
  • Students may work as an aeronautical engineering, CAD product design engineer, mechanical design engineer, or a marine engineer. Or, pursue graduate studies (MEng, MASc, PhD) in mechanical and industrial engineering
  • This course allows students to hone their skills in easier competitions and work their way up to more advanced robotics
  • This course is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board

Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements

Applicants who have completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma must present grades of 4 or higher in three Higher Level and three Standard Level subjects, including prerequisite subjects, and a total score of 28 or higher (bonus points will be accepted).


Applicants currently enrolled in IB studies must provide predicted results from their school (bonus points will not be considered during our assessment of predicted results).
